The car has finished the body work and painting process. Our one-of-a-kind painter Steve Kouracos did a an excellent job that surpassed all expectations. The car has been painted in Azzuro Metallic which i believe was the perfect choice.
Parts are already finding their way onto the car. I have installed the pedal board as well as most of the fiberglass. I have also finished rebuilding the engine which will be started on the engine stand very soon.
We would like to show our greatest appreciation to Steve on his fantastic job. He was quick, thorough, and highly knowledgable about the work he does. It truly is his passion.
New pictures have been added to the website. The teardown phase is now complete. The process seemed to go a lot faster than last time. That is most likely because Jeff and I are more familar with the car and not making the same mistakes we made in the last restoration.
The car is now with Steve Kouracos. He has joined our restoration team and is doing the body-work and paint. His shop is located in Orange County so he will be keeping the car at his shop for a couple months while he gives the dino a makeover.
As Steve is busy with the car, I will be refurbishing all of the parts of the car as well as rebuilding the engine. Cavallo motorsports has offered their service to me and will be watching the rebuild of the engine and help extract the most HP as possible.
Jeff and I have put in a lot of effort to get this new website up and running. We plan to make the website much better than the our first restoration section of the site. Our skills are getting better and we are trying to be a bit more sophisticated. Please come back and check our progress. You can follow the restoration step-by-step at www.ferrarichat.com We will update the website photos as each phase is completed. There will be a embeded flash photo gallery as well as an optional html photo gallery to ensure that everyone can view our photos.
Please keep watching the website for updates.
