The tear down was very fun during our first time taking the car apart. We tried to go as slow as possible to take pictures of each part and understand how things go back together but excitment tended to take over and we would get a few steps ahead of ourselves. Fortunetly we were able to go slow enough to know how all the parts went back on the car.

The process of taking the car apart took about 6 months total although with the next car we could easily cut it down to 3 months if we went at a normal pace. We found that the best thing when taking the car apart is to organize each part we take off and put them in respective tubs so that things don't get mixed.
